Newport, Wormit and Forgan Community Council Website
The Newport, Wormit and Forgan Community Council (NWFCC) serves the communities of Newport on Tay, Wormit, Forgan and Drumoig.
It meets once and month at 7.00pm on the 4th Monday or the month except July and January at the Blyth Hall, Blyth Street, Newport on Tay, DD6 8DB.
It is open to members of the public who are welcome to attend.

The Community Council also maintains 2 notice boards. It offers space for general community information from groups, organisations or individuals, but not or the purposes of advertising commercial services or interests.
Posters for inclusion should be no larger then A4 and should include an expiry date. Decision making on inclusion is at the discretion of the Community Council.

The closing date for nominations is 18 October 2026. Award categories are as follow:
Award categories:
- Inspirational Volunteering Award (Individual) – a volunteer (or group of volunteers) who has made a significant impact through their volunteering work.
- Lifetime Achievement Award – a special honour for someone whose lifelong work and dedication have left a legacy in their field or community.
- Inspirational Volunteering Award (Group) – a group of volunteers who have made a significant impact through their volunteering work
- Local Hero Award – someone who has shown great courage, leadership, or resilience, making a significant impact in their community.
- Cultural Award – individual or group who actively promotes and celebrates the cultural heritage of Fife through art/music/language or cultural diversity.
- Sports Award – recognises outstanding achievement of an individual or group in the field of sport.
- Provost’s Recognition Award – the Provost’s choice of an individual or group recognising outstanding achievement and Civic pride.
The judging panel will include the Provost, Depute Provost Donald Lothian and Communities spokesperson, Councillor Linda Erskine.
